Payload Integration Engineer (Rock Hill)

About Powerus Powerus is building a next-generation American autonomous systems platform designed to move, protect, and sustain critical assets in high-consequence environments. The company combines advanced autonomy, manufacturing capability, operational expertise, and strategic acquisitions to support defense, national security, critical infrastructure, and commercial operations globally. Mission Our mission is to deliver resilient autonomous technologies that strengthen national security, improve operational safety, and expand the capabilities of organizations operating in complex environments. Why Join Powerus An unmanned aircraft is bought for what it carries. The airframe, the autonomy, and the flight controls are the price of admission, but the customer is evaluating whether the sensor sees what they need it to see, whether the RF package hears what they need it to hear, and whether either one still works after an hour of vibration and a hard landing. As Powerus scales its platforms into defense and national security programs, the number of payloads the aircraft has to accept - third-party and in-house, government-furnished and customer-selected - grows faster than the number of airframes. This role owns that boundary. You will define what it takes to put a payload on the aircraft and make it work: the mechanical and electrical interfaces, the mass, power, and data budgets it has to live inside, the isolation and timing it needs to produce usable data, and the flight validation that proves it does. You will build the interface standard rather than integrating each payload as a one-off, and you will be the person who can stand a sensor up in front of a customer in a field with a laptop and a few hours. Position Overview Payload integration is where the aircraft stops being a platform and starts being a capability, and this role owns that transition end to end. This position requires U.S. Person status, as the work involves access to export-controlled technical data. You will define the mechanical and electrical interfaces that EO/IR cameras, gimbals, LiDAR units, RF and SIGINT packages, and comms relays attach through, hold the mass, CG, power, and data budgets those payloads have to fit within, and carry each integration from bench bring-up through flight validation of actual payload performance. You will work across mechanical, avionics, embedded software, autonomy, and flight test, and directly with payload vendors on ICDs and bring-up support. Expect to be on-site in Charlotte, and expect some travel to support customer evaluations where a payload has to be working the same day it arrives. Key Responsibilities Interface definition and budgets Define and document mechanical interfaces for payloads - mounting, envelope, access, alignment and boresight, and the structural load path into the airframe Define electrical interfaces including power rails and sequencing, grounding and shielding, connector and harness selection, and protection against payload faults propagating into the aircraft Own mass and center-of-gravity budgets across payload configurations, and work with GNC and flight test on the limits each configuration imposes Own power and data budgets - draw and duty cycle against available generation and storage, bandwidth and latency against the onboard bus and the downlink Author and negotiate interface control documents with third-party payload vendors and in-house teams, and maintain them as configurations change Integration, validation, and field support Design and validate gimbal mounting and vibration isolation, and verify that the isolation actually delivers the stability the sensor needs rather than only the deflection the model predicted Establish timing and synchronization across payloads and aircraft state - time base, triggering, and metadata tagging accurate enough that downstream products are geometrically trustworthy Integrate payload software and control interfaces with flight software, ground control, and autonomy, including command, health monitoring, and data handling paths Plan and execute bench, ground, and flight testing that validates payload performance in the operating environment, and drive the design changes the results demand Stand payloads up quickly in the field for customer evaluations and demonstrations, and produce the configuration documentation, kits, and procedures that let others do the same Investigate integration anomalies to root cause across the mechanical, electrical, software, and RF boundaries, and close them with verified corrective action Qualifications Must be located in the United States, within commuting distance of Rock Hill, SC, and able to work on-site Degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Experience integrating sensors, payloads, or subsystems onto a vehicle or other physically constrained platform, taking them from interface definition through working hardware Comfort working across the mechanical and electrical boundary - able to define a mount and a load path as readily as a power and data interface Experience with the interfaces payloads actually use, such as Ethernet, serial, CAN, USB, PPS or other timing signals, and common video and sensor data formats Experience authoring or working to interface control documents, and holding mass, power, or data budgets across a changing configuration Willingness to travel and to operate in the field, including standing a payload up under time pressure in front of a customer U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)); this role involves access to ITAR- and EAR-controlled technical data Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with EO/IR cameras, gimbals, LiDAR, RF or SIGINT payloads, or airborne communications relays Familiarity with vibration isolation design and the measurement work that proves it, including accelerometer instrumentation and spectral analysis Experience with time synchronization, geo-referencing, or sensor-to-aircraft calibration and boresighting Exposure to environmental qualification practice such as MIL-STD-810 or DO-160 Experience supporting flight test - instrumentation, data capture, and post-flight analysis of sensor performance Familiarity with NDAA Section 848 and Blue UAS constraints as they affect payload selection and sourcing Prior work supporting customer demonstrations, operational evaluations, or government test events What We Look For We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable being the connective tissue between disciplines and between companies. The people who do well here are specific about where a boundary sits and who owns each side of it, they ask the awkward interface question early rather than discovering it on the flight line, and they trust measured payload performance over vendor datasheets. You should be able to move between CAD, a wiring diagram, a spectral plot, and a vendor call without losing the thread, and to keep your composure when a payload arrives the night before a customer evaluation and does not behave the way the ICD said it would. Equal Opportunity Statement Powerus is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and mission-driven workforce. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Identify bottlenecks before they constrain growth and develop plans to eliminate them. Build Scriptful RX so that operational capacity stays ahead of commercial demand. Operational Excellence Develop a culture of continuous improvement throughout Scriptful RX. Implement disciplined operating methodologies and measurable performance standards across all facilities. Drive improvements in prescription turnaround time, fulfillment accuracy, labor efficiency, inventory management, shipping performance, patient experience, and overall cost structure. Standardize best practices across the organization rather than allowing facilities to operate independently. Quality, Compliance & Patient Safety Partner closely with pharmacy leadership, Pharmacists-in-Charge, legal, compliance, quality, and clinical teams to ensure Scriptful RX operates to rigorous standards. Ensure operational processes support compliance with applicable federal and state pharmacy requirements, controlled substance requirements where applicable, privacy requirements, accreditation standards, and internal quality systems. Create a culture where patient safety and quality are never sacrificed for speed or growth. Technology & Automation Work closely with technology and pharmacy leadership to build a highly automated pharmacy operating environment. The COO should constantly ask: How can we make this faster, safer, simpler, more scalable, and less dependent on manual processes? Supply Chain & Procurement Oversee the operational aspects of procurement, inventory management, vendor performance, logistics, and supply chain resilience. Develop systems that provide visibility into inventory levels, purchasing requirements, lead times, shortages, and demand forecasts across all facilities. Reduce unnecessary working capital while ensuring the organization maintains the inventory required to reliably serve patients and partners. People & Leadership Recruit, develop, and manage a world-class operations leadership team. Build a culture of accountability where leaders understand their numbers, own their results, and solve problems quickly. Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines as the organization expands. Create clear accountability from the COO through regional leadership, facility leadership, department management, and frontline operations. Financial Performance Partner with the CEO and finance team to establish budgets, forecasts, operating targets, and capital plans. Own operational performance against those plans. Identify opportunities to improve operating leverage as prescription volume increases. Facility Expansion & Integration Lead the operational planning and execution of new Scriptful RX facilities. Support the integration of acquired pharmacies and facilities into the Scriptful RX operating platform. The objective is to create a system where Scriptful RX can acquire, build, integrate, and scale pharmacy facilities rapidly without compromising quality. Executive Leadership Serve as a key member of the Scriptful RX executive leadership team. Translate the CEO's strategic priorities into measurable operating plans. Work collaboratively with other businesses within The Wellness Group where shared infrastructure, technology, clinical services, or commercial relationships can create strategic advantages. What Success Looks Like The successful COO will build Scriptful RX into a highly disciplined national pharmacy operating platform capable of supporting significant growth without sacrificing quality or patient experience. Success will mean: Every facility operates from the same playbook. Leadership knows its numbers. Capacity stays ahead of demand. Prescription turnaround times continually improve. Quality and fulfillment accuracy remain exceptional. Cost per prescription declines as volume increases. Technology replaces unnecessary manual processes. New facilities can be launched and integrated quickly. Problems are identified through data before they become operational crises. And most importantly: Scriptful RX can grow substantially without operational complexity growing at the same rate. Product Manager (Forward Deployed) (New York)

Salary range: 10,000 - 15,000 USD gross About CUBE AI CUBE AI is an Agentic Crime Prevention Platform , built at the intersection of agentic AI, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention . We serve the institutions on the front line of an exploding wave of AI-powered crime: banks, fintechs, and the platforms criminals cannot operate without. Our mission is ambitious: make the world a safer place . How we do it is the part we're most excited about, and the part we're happy to walk you through in a conversation rather than on the open internet. Why this is the seat to take This is a rare seat on a rocket ship. CUBE AI is early, exceptionally ambitious, and backed by some of the world's leading investors. Our founders have built and scaled startups to unicorn valuations and exits, and have run mega teams at mega companies. We are building the company that puts the institutions the modern economy runs on back on offense against AI-powered crime. The closest analogy is joining Palantir in its early days : a hard mission, a category we're defining rather than entering, and a small group of exceptional people compounding fast. If you want a comfortable role, this isn't it. If you want the defining chapter of your career, your best work alongside people who make you sharper, keep reading. The role This is a forward deployed product role. You will not run the roadmap from a distance and you will not learn about our customers through a summary written by someone else. You will sit inside them: in their offices, next to the people using what we build, in their operational reviews, watching the work happen. Some of the largest institutions in the world have opened their doors to us, actively want us in the building, and are ready to help us build. That is the hardest thing to earn in enterprise software, and it is already done. What is waiting is the part most product people never get: unlimited access to the people whose problem you are solving, and a company fast enough to ship what you learn. That is your territory. You are accountable for the customer feedback loop for the UK and Europe: what our customers actually do with us, where the next increment of value is, what we build next, and whether the thing we shipped changed the number it was supposed to change. That loop has run through the founder until now, which is how we got here. Taking it off his desk and turning it into a practice that outperforms him is the mandate, and it is yours from day one. This is a product seat reporting to the VP of Product , not a commercial one. You are not carrying a quota. You are the person who turns proximity into product. What you'll do Own the feedback loop end to end for our UK and European customers, from first-hand discovery through to shipped, adopted, measurable change. Embed with customers on their premises. Regular, sustained, in-person time with the teams who use us. New York is dense with our customers and partners, which is exactly why this role sits here. Turn what you see into the roadmap. Write the requirements, defend the priorities, and work shoulder to shoulder with engineers in Lithuania through delivery, launch, and post-launch monitoring. Move customers from manual to automated. Our customers vary enormously in how much of what we deliver they can act on without a human in the loop. Closing that spread is the single biggest lever on the value they get and on what we can charge for it. Own it. Build the discovery practice from zero. Founder-led instinct got us this far and it is fast. You get to design the real thing on top of it, and make it something the next four people you hire can run. Be the product voice in the room with sophisticated enterprise stakeholders, including risk, operations, and technology leaders who will challenge you. Earn the right to be invited back. Feed the expansion motion by finding, sizing, and specifying what a customer should buy next, then handing it to the account manager with the evidence already in hand. Prove the model so we can copy it. New York is our gateway to the US. If forward deployment works here, we do it everywhere. Who you'll work with You are one seat in a small, deliberately senior pod. In New York, alongside you: Account Manager , who owns delighting the customer and expanding the contract. Sales Engineer , who owns our product end of the integration. Value Engineer , who owns the customer's end: how their stack and their processes need to work to unlock the value. Customer Support Specialist , covering level one, based with the core team. You will have a counterpart doing the same job in London, and you will report into the VP of Product, who is based with engineering and product in Lithuania. Expect to be there often. Expect the engineers to know your name. What we're looking for The bar (non-negotiable, every role): Extreme drive and passion for the work and the mission. Extreme ability to learn fast and operate with confidence in uncertainty. Extreme IQ and EQ . You raise the level of every room, and you lose an argument gracefully the moment someone's right. For this role specifically: 5 years owning product , with real accountability for outcomes rather than for a backlog. You have done discovery with your own hands. Sat next to users, run the research, read the data yourself. If your instinct on a hard question is to go and look, this is your role. If it is to convene a workshop, it is not. Deep working knowledge of how a bank or large financial institution actually operates. Its stack, its risk appetite, its operational and control processes, and why good ideas die inside it. You can hold your own with people who have run those functions for twenty years. A track record of shipping into enterprise environments and staying with it through adoption, not stopping at launch. You treat product and engineering as two halves of the same thing. You want to be in the room with the engineers, and they want you there. Comfortable with sustained travel across the UK and Europe and regular time with the core team in Lithuania. Bonus: you have built a function or a practice from nothing, and you would rather do that again than inherit one. How we work and who thrives here Our core locations are Lithuania, London, and New York, and we consider remote-first candidates who can travel as needed for their role. We write more than we meet and move at warp speed. We're an AI-first company: every person here is amplified by a layer of AI agents, and we scale capability, not headcount. We don't buy services, we buy results. We're drivers, not passengers, so we hire people who go and do it without waiting for permission. We move fast, and we use judgment where it counts: we hold sensitive data and the trust of the institutions we protect, and we never cut corners there. Our culture runs on five virtues: A pedantic bar for quality . Work that is thorough, complete, and on time. We trust each other to deliver, fully. Radical ownership . See it, own it, fix it. Never defer a problem or an opportunity. You will never be reprimanded for taking initiative. Relentless energy and audacity . Building something exceptional demands enormous energy. We move forward with maximum drive. Automate everything . We scale the capability of our people, not the headcount. We always hunt the 10x multiplier, working alongside AI agents rather than piling on process. Have fun . We work with people we genuinely enjoy. It gets us through the hard stretches and keeps politics out. What's in it for you Uncapped growth . In a company moving this fast, scope finds the people who can carry it. Ownership and title are earned in months, not years. Real self-realization . This is a place to become the most capable version of yourself, next to people operating at the top of their game. A direct line to senior product and engineering leaders , and a real say in where the product goes. You share in the outcome . When the company wins big, you win big. What we offer Join a rocket ship. Let's discuss compensation and the rest of the details on our call. CUBE AI is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background and will support any accommodations you need during the hiring process.
