Pre-op shifts start at 0530; PACU shifts start between 0730–1000. Scheduling may follow three 12-hour, four 9-hour, four 10-hour, or five 8-hour shift configurations depending on FTE status. Key Responsibilities\n \n Rotate throughout Pre-op, PACU, Phase II, and boarder assignments, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (Pre-op 1:3, PACU 1:2, Phase II 1:3) \n Provide perioperative nursing care for a broad range of adult and pediatric cases including general surgery, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic/ortho trauma, OB/GYN, bariatrics, and surgical oncology, among others \n Manage ICU-level patients recovering in PACU when ICU beds are unavailable, based on throughput and capacity \n Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP \n Interpret and read cardiac monitor strips \n Participate in call rotation, typically averaging 20–24 hours per month on weeknights and approximately 20 hours per month on weekends, with a 1-hour call response time requirement; may be expected to cover one holiday shift and one holiday call shift per season \n Required Qualifications\n \n Active RN license \n BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required \n Prior PACU experience required \n Experience with respiratory therapy equipment (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP) required \n Experience recovering ICU-level patients required \n Proficiency with EPIC EMR \n Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible \n Preferred Experience / Skills\n \n Level 1 trauma PACU experience strongly preferred \n Experience with regional acute pain management, blocks, epidurals, and related procedures \n Familiarity with pediatric perioperative care \n Why Join Us\n \n Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, full-service perioperative environment covering a wide variety of surgical specialties in both adult and pediatric populations \n Structured unit-specific orientation across Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II to support a smooth transition into the role \n \n \n \n Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 780918.
