At this time, the biggest need is at the main HealthStar building in Morristown, where they once had 6 physicians and is now are down to 3 due to relocations outside of the community.For an incoming physician, one can expect to see patients from birth to death with 25-30 patients in the clinic per day. Patients are scheduled in advance, but one can also build up a practice quickly with walk-in appointments. HealthStar expects incoming physician to be ramped up in 4 to 8 months. Each physician is assigned 3 to 4 exam rooms, plus adequate medical staff. Typically, providers are in the office four days per week, but one could practice 5 days a week if desired. For a provider, one can practice a full range of family medicine. Typically, office hours are Monday-Friday 8-5pm. If one desires, there can be additional shifts that coincide with the urgent care with coverage until 9pm, 9-6 Saturday, and 12-5 on Sundays.Call responsibilities would include practice call. Responsibilities have been described as extremely light.
