Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy

Company description For decades, Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness has provided consumer and professional marketing, strategic consulting, and medical education to pharmaceutical and wellness brands. Our mission is to inspire a healthier, happier, well-er world through award-winning work. If you google us (which you may have done already), you’ll see that spreading wellness is literally our mission. We don’t just talk about making your well-being the most important thing, we mean it. Having a flexible hybrid-work policy, plentiful time off, and colleagues who want you to do well are all part of the gig. Oh, and of course the opportunity to work on some of the good-vibiest campaigns on the planet with very caring, very resourceful people. So, if you’re a rockstar writer, aspiring strategist, jill—or jack—of all trades, or just an all-around nice person, let’s chat. Overview We are looking for a leader to build out our Experience Strategy capability at the agency. We currently define Experience Strategy as the capability that builds off the Big Brand Idea to lay the strategic foundation across the entire consumer or HCP journey that inspires creative experiences at every stage always grounded in data and technology. Responsibilities This candidate would be charged with creating the strategic tools necessary to deliver Experience Strategy across our four books of business and ultimately across both SSW and PNY. They would be charged with identifying the right talent and/or partnerships necessary to build out this capability. They would begin by evaluating and managing the current experience, social and content strategists we have on staff today. From there they would identify opportunities to train existing talent and/or hire new talent to deliver first in class Experience Strategy. It would be critical for them to partner with our heads of data and analytics and also our head of digital solutions who oversees our technology solutions. They will play a significant role in driving growth for the agency via new business and by hunting for new opportunities with current clients. Qualifications They should be capable of working with teams to define actionable plans that deliver a positive, meaningful experience across all interactions a brand has with a patient, caregiver or healthcare professional. They should seek to understand what people think, feel and do across the customer journey—and search for the moments of truth that will have the greatest impact on a person’s path to wellness. They should be passionate about generating ideas for making brand‑customer interactions better and more delightful. When developing experiences, they should be able to understand a brand’s strategy and big idea and then be able to envision and articulate personalized pull‑through on a tactical level. They should also be passionate about the value of content, and not view channels in silos but instead see things from the customer’s perspective: as a series of moments. That said, this individual should also understand the mechanics of individual channels (CRM, social, web, etc.) and how to use them to build meaningful interactions; in addition, they will have their finger on the pulse of digital innovation and keep up with evolving and emerging possibilities for engagement. This role would report to the EVP Head of Strategy.
