DOE Great benefits (medical, dental, vision) Employee ownership and 401k Company vehicle or allowance gas card Paid vacation, sick leave and holidays Annual performance bonus Relocation assistance Job Details The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering accurate estimates for complex projects. As an Estimator, you’ll play a lead role in successfully bidding our water and wastewater projects, working closely with a collaborative and supportive team. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering their growth and contributing to a strong, cohesive team. (*If you have experience estimating concrete structures (without the water aspect) we also encourage you to apply.) Key Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive bids for water infrastructure projects; including water and wastewater treatment plants with the scope of excavation, backfill, yard piping, process and mechanical piping, and concrete. Lead pricing strategies, perform value engineering, review contracts, and conduct risk analysis. Build, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors. Collaborate with operational teams to align estimates with project goals and timelines. Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering skill development. Preferred Experience/Skills/Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy civil construction/ with an emphasis in water projects or structural concrete. Proficient in estimating software (InEight / Hard Dollar is a huge plus) or B2W, Planswift, HCSS Heavy Bid and Smartbid Strong understanding of construction means and methods for self-performed work -structural concrete, process piping systems, water/wastewater process treatment equipment, buried wet utilities, earthworks and structure excavation/backfill and chemical treatment systems, etc. College degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
