We are working with a privately operated skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in South Shore Nassau County that is hiring an ADON / Infection Prevention RN. This is a strong fit for an RN leader who knows skilled nursing, understands infection control, and wants a stable leadership seat without walking into a building that is already on fire. This is not a DNS role disguised as an ADON role. It is also not a junior infection control role with no authority. It sits right in the middle: clinical leadership, infection prevention, audits, survey readiness, pharmacy coordination, care plan review, vaccination oversight, and support of unit managers. Responsibilities include: * Infection prevention and infection control oversight * Clinical audits and follow-through * Survey readiness * Vaccination tracking for staff and residents * Care plan review * Pharmacy coordination * Narcotics oversight * Supporting and supervising unit managers * Helping maintain clinical standards across the facility * Communicating with residents, families, and internal leadership * Keeping the building organized, compliant, and ready What we are looking for We are looking for an RN with skilled nursing experience and infection prevention / infection control experience. Ideal background: * Active RN license * Skilled nursing facility experience * Infection prevention or infection control experience * ADON, ADNS, Nurse Manager, Unit Manager, RN Supervisor, or clinical leadership background * CIC or infection control certification is a plus, but not required if you are open to obtaining it Why people stay here Because the building is stable.
