The VA St. Louis Health Care System is actively recruiting for a BC/BE Hospitalist to work at our John Cochran VA Medical Center in midtown St. Louis, MO. Responsibilities may include care of acutely ill hospitalized patients in our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or attending on the General Medicine wards (supervision of internal medicine residents and students). Willingness to perform in both roles is preferred but not required. In addition, on call responsibilities will include functioning as the Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) during evening and night shifts as well as on call physician coverage for our spinal cord inpatient unit. Some night and weekend duty will be required. Routine procedures: Intubation, central lines, chest tubes, arthrocentesis, paracentesis.
