Responsibilities: As a Permanent Low Voltage Design Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: 1. Designing, planning, and overseeing the installation of low voltage systems, including CCTV, video surveillance, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling systems. 2. Developing detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment. 3. Coordinating with contractors to monitor project progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards. 4. Directing, reviewing, and approving project design changes. 5. Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products. 6. Designing and implementing conduit layouts for low voltage systems. 7. Utilizing Revit to create 3D models of low voltage systems. 8. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards to support overall departmental and organizational objectives. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in low voltage design engineering, specifically with CCTV, video surveillance, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling systems. 3. Proficiency in Revit and other CAD software. 4. Familiarity with conduit layout and design for low voltage systems. 5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions. 6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 7. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 8. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to applicable codes and regulations. 9.
