Inventory Accounting: Record receipts, manage WIP and finished goods, monitor yields/shrinkage by-products, handle lot costing and adjustments, and conduct monthly counts and reconciliations. Crop-Year Close: Assist with crop-year financials, manage accruals/deferrals, prepaid/advances, and grower distributions. Cost Accounting: Determine standard costs for processing, manage variances, handle labor/overtime burden during harvest, and oversee freight and storage allocations. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare MD&A-style variance notes, bank covenant packages, grant/loan support, audit/PBC packages, and handle sales/use tax. Process & Controls: Document workflows, strengthen approvals/segregation of duties, and automate processes where possible. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred but not required for consideration. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Proven experience in managing A/R, A/P, and Inventory in a farming/processing operation. Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office Suite.
