OTR Driver (CDL-A)

Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This driver role is an over-the-road position, responsible for operating commercial motor vehicle tractors and trailers in compliance with FMCSA regulations to transport goods on public highways and company property. They are also responsible for moving, stacking, and unloading all forms of C.H.I. doors and products at their destinations, including C.H.I. service centers and dealer locations. This is a physically demanding position which will involve lifting 80 pounds in a unique trailer environment. This could include using forklifts, jacks, carts, racks, pallets, moving boxes, packages, or other support components. All runs originate and terminate in Arthur, Illinois, so residing in the area is ideal, but not required. Eligible candidates will: Be at least 21 years of age Possess a valid CDL-A license Possess a valid DOT Medical Card or be eligible to receive one prior to hire Compensation First-year drivers earn a minimum of $80,000. Supervisor, Operations

Shift Monday - Friday - 2nd Shift (Afternoon/Evening) Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-12am Location: Westpoint Blvd Operations Supervisor The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and effective execution of daily operational plans and strategies within warehouse operations. This role leads and allocates resources, ensures compliance with key processes, and drives performance across safety, quality, efficiency, and financial KPIs. The position also ensures product safety, quality, and legality. Primary Responsibilities Supervise at least two full-time direct reports, including hiring recommendations, coaching, skills development, recognition, and performance management. Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production activities within warehouse operations. Prepare and distribute operational reports to support day-to-day activities. Ensure schedules are implemented correctly and jobs are assigned and completed effectively. Manage vacation and time-off scheduling to minimize disruption and meet customer needs. Actively lead and supervise teammates on the floor, engaging in daily operations. Conduct daily startup meetings to communicate work instructions, workflows, and safety practices. Drive teammate excellence through consistent feedback, coaching, and corrective actions. Promote safety through weekly meetings, training, JHA reviews, and facility walkthroughs. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment aligned with corporate 5S standards. Supervise team operations to meet prescribed objectives and KPIs. Develop a productive work team through cross-training, communication, and motivation. Facilitate seamless handoffs and communicate key information across teams and management. Provide courteous and respectful customer service in high-pressure situations. Ensure inventory integrity and assist with physical inventory counts. Support the Operations Manager with special projects as needed. Assist in maintaining facility security. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field with no prior work experience; OR Military rank of E-6, E-7, O-1, or O-2; OR Minimum of six months of experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment with demonstrated leadership skills. Skills and Qualifications Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Labor management experience preferred. Strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities. Experience with quality management methodologies. Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change. Ability to lead under high-stress conditions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures. About the Role The Crib Attendant/Driver will be responsible for driving a company vehicle throughout the assigned geographic area and ensure safety of self and others while driving. You will also be responsible for maintaining and issuing the tools and supplies used in the production supply crib located on the site of our client. This is a Monday-Friday position, 2nd shift.
