The Seasonal Production forklift workers assist in meeting production goals and deadlines during times of increased volume. The position offers the opportunity to learn the printing process from the ground up, while working with the industry’s most advanced printing equipment in a clean, well-kept environment. Our Seasonal opportunity is estimated to run from now until 11/14/2026. Shifts and dates of assignments may be rotated and may vary by department. Openings include forklift/material handler. Hours are based on production needs; however, hours consist of 12-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends and holiday as needed. Overtime is required as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Move product/skids with a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift or Forklift (training provided) Servicing of press and finishing machines to move product throughout the plant. Maintain accurate inventory of product with the use of an onboard PC and RF bar coding system. Loading and unloading of finished product and materials from semi-trailers and auto-wrapper using a forklift Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations. Effectively communicate with team members Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Qualifications The successful candidate will have or be able to do the following: Must be at least 18-years of age or older. Strong computer skills preferred. Prior forklift experience highly preferred, but not required. Factory, Manufacturing or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary is preferred, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, warehouse etc. Printing, Finishing (Bindery) or Warehouse experience is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to read, understand and follow both written and verbal instructions. Good math skills The ability to use repetitive hand/wrist movement. Ability to multi-task and prioritize job need. Ability to be a team player in a fast paced, detail orientated production environment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. You will be asked to follow a shift: (3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off) will be both days and nights throughout the year, we will explain this during interview process. 12 hours shift 7 to 7. The Mechanic plays an essential role in helping the plant provide high quality product and efficient service to our customers by minimizing operational downtime. Day-to-day responsibilities of this role include performing various types of maintenance work on printing press equipment, such as: Skillfully conduct inspections, preventative, proactive and repair type maintenance activities on all production related equipment, to include bearings, belts and chains, coupling alignment, gear boxes, bench work; pumps, rebuilding and overhauling; conveyor maintenance, fans and blowers, robotics, electric motor replacement and diagnostics. Utilize and maintain assembly and part drawings to determine part quality and conformity. Follow SOP’s, and written procedures, to perform all types of proactive and preventative maintenance tasks, repairs and rebuilds on all production related equipment. Utilize equipment and component documentation to determine proper tensions, speeds, alignment tolerances, pressures, flows, etc. Proactive in creating and maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times. Properly lubricate, identify, adjust and replace complex components and assemblies of production related equipment to include cylinder changes, folder and print unit drive train rebuilds, and installation of mechanical speed controls. Display a complete understanding of the production process and factors that can affect production yields and quality. Display an ability to routinely and successfully troubleshoot production related deficiencies and determine a plan to correct and prevent similar conditions through scheduled maintenance tasks. Required Qualifications: Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Quad is currently seeking a Second Shift Offset Sheetfed Platemaker at its Franklin, WI plant. Entry level and willing to train. The offset plate maker is responsible for overseeing the plate-making process, including but not limited to, generating impositions from single-page files, creating plates, troubleshooting issues, inspecting for quality, and working with internal customers to support the printing process.
