Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist - Cath Lab

Overview: Compensation / Benefits $32.56-$53.18/hr based on previous work experience. Evening differential $2.50/hr. Night differential $3.00/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. We have 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms and two treatment rooms. We work with 10 Cardiologist and seven of which are interventionist and one electrophysiologist. Responsibilities: Job Summary Prepares equipment before and during procedures Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care Establishes and maintains a sterile environment Professional Practice Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager Maintains strong professional working relationship with the physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care Qualifications: Education Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS required. Experience Previous Procedural Area experience preferred (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC. American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months
