Job Description Job Description Position Overview The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization is seeking to hire three full-time Academic Generalist Obstetricians/Gynecologists. Appointments will be made at either the Assistant or Associate Health Sciences Clinical Professor level, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Compensation will be determined based on these factors. Key Responsibilities Successful candidates will deliver comprehensive clinical services in general obstetrics and gynecology as part of the University Women's Health (UWH) group, which is the largest division within the department, comprising over 16 faculty members. Responsibilities include: Clinical Care: Providing care in outpatient clinics. Offering daytime hospitalist coverage for both obstetric and gynecologic services in collaboration with UWH faculty. Participating in obstetrical in-house night call and back-up home call as per the Compensation Plan. Engaging in at-home gynecology call in rotation with departmental subspecialties. Typical call schedule includes either 2 in-house shifts (with home call) or 3 in-house shifts (without home call). Teaching & Mentorship: Supervising and instructing medical students and residents in various settings, including clinics, Labor and Delivery, operating rooms, and inpatient wards. Encouraging participation in curriculum development and educational initiatives. Academic Service & Scholarship: Engaging in scholarly projects, quality improvement efforts, and/or research activities. Actively participating in committee work and contributing to University service. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree. Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology (or currently in the final year of residency). Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Eligibility for medical licensure in California. Experience in general obstetrics and gynecology. Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse academic setting. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this role ranges from $300,000 (for one call per month) to $372,000 (for four calls per month).
