Design workholding and fixtures using SolidWorks or MasterCAM, and either detail them or delegate the detailing to Engineers or draftsmen as appropriate. TRAINING AND ORIENTATION New Site Superintendents will participate in an onboarding and training process designed to familiarize them with company procedures, safety expectations, quality standards, and operational workflows. Training may include time working with self-performing crews and Project Management staff to gain an understanding of field operations, scheduling, documentation, and communication processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Collaborate with client superintendents and local inspectors to establish project schedules and expectations. · Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and report issues or deficiencies to the Project Manager. · Participate in one-week and four-week look-ahead planning in coordination with Project Management, General Contractors, and trade partners. · Enforce all safety and quality standards on the jobsite. · Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and client requirements. · Manage and coordinate trade partners and material vendors through planning and scheduling. · Supervise daily jobsite activities to ensure work is performed safely, in an organized manner, in compliance with drawings and specifications, and using efficient construction methods. · Review and manage construction activities in compliance with project documents, including shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs. · Manage and oversee project Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) processes. · Document on-site activities using reports and photographs. · Submit daily reports and documentation accurately and on time using company-approved systems. · Track and report production progress (e.g., manhours, quantities installed, or other measurable outputs) to support scheduling, budget control, and project forecasting. · Review change order requests with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator. · Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful execution of project and client requirements. · Proactively identify potential issues or risks and escalate concerns promptly with recommended solutions. · Familiarity with drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and interior finish systems. · Ability to read and interpret architectural finish schedules. · Experience coordinating inspections related to framing, drywall, and interior finishes. · Experience with look-ahead scheduling or Lean/Last Planner style planning. · Take full ownership of assigned jobsites, crews, and outcomes, including addressing performance, behavior, and corrective actions as needed. · Maintain punctuality and demonstrate professionalism as a leader on the jobsite. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, kneel, stoop, crouch, use hands and fingers, operate a computer and telephone, and maintain visual acuity. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or carry lightweight items (approximately 50 pounds). Frequent walking, standing, sitting, and observation in and around job sites is required. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is primarily performed on active construction jobsites. Work may occur outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, and near moving mechanical parts. Noise exposure is common. When on site, employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats. POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Full-time. Occasional extended hours and weekends may be required based on project needs. TRAVEL Travel to and from construction sites is required. Most travel is local; some long-distance or overnight travel may be required depending on project location.
