Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist, your success will be achieved by: Reviewing patient medical histories and creating tailored treatment plans. Diagnosing patients through observation of movements and listening to their concerns. Utilizing exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to alleviate pain and enhance mobility. Documenting patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Qualifications To qualify for the Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist position, you should meet the following requirements: Licensed Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice). Strong work ethic and commitment to patient success. Basic computer proficiency. CPR and first aid certification required. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is strongly preferred, or CHT-eligible (minimum of 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examination. Alternatively, Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 1–2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT. Experience treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions across all age groups, with a primary focus on adult patients preferred. Compensation The pay rate for this position is $70 per hour .
