This position is based in South Carolina. The individual in this position is responsible for implementing and maintaining PC's “Zero Accidents—No Excuses” philosophy. This person will work closely with project leadership to create a safe working environment for our employees. Depending on project size and complexity, this position may include planning all the site safety activities and supervising safety employees. This individual may oversee multiple projects in a region. Generally, the individual in this position possesses a four year degree in a related field and two years of construction safety experience or, a high school diploma and five years of construction safety experience, a CHST Certification, OSHA 510 and 500 Certifications, First Aid and CPR Certifications, Safety Train-the-Trainer Certification, knowledge of Building and/or Water Treatment and Waste Water Treatment Plant construction, and competent person status in the following areas: excavation, confined space, and fall protection. Desired certifications include Emergency Medical Technician Certification. Language skills, strong English language skills (speaking, reading, writing) are required. The ability to speak and understand Spanish is preferred. Safety and Health Ensure PC’s safety policies are in keeping with OSHA, other safety regulations and company initiatives. Assist project teams in the preparation of site-specific safety programs. Communicate all Company safety initiatives to ensure the highest level of awareness. Assist project teams in planning safety into upcoming activities. Ensure there are competent people on site as required for existing and upcoming site conditions. Regularly visit all projects in the area of responsibility. Attend ZAPP meetings, at least 3 times per month, and provide suggestions for improvement as appropriate. May conduct weekly safety meetings. Conduct subcontractor safety preconstruction meetings. Model safe work practices, including wearing personal protective devices. Correct any safety violations immediately and report any major or systemic violations to the responsible site supervisor. Enforce the site-specific safety plan. Observe work habits of employees and subcontractors and provide on-the-spot training to correct unsafe work habits. Give feedback to project supervisors and Regional Safety Manager (RSM). Communicate safety issues to owner/owner representative. Enforce compliance with PC’s safety policies, OSHA, and other safety regulations with both PC employees and subcontractors. Ensure the Company’s safety policies and procedures are being applied consistently across all projects under responsibility. Conduct job site inspections and prepare reports to supervisors and subcontractors. Investigate unsafe acts and enforce disciplinary procedures as determined by the Safety Review Committee. Investigate accidents, prepare reports for review by RSM. Distribute reports to appropriate recipients. Assist and work with the Risk Manager and RSM regarding accident investigations. Conduct drug testing. Administer first aid as needed. Ensure OSHA inspections are conducted properly and in accordance with company policies. Conduct mock OSHA inspections. Generate Safety Audit reports and evaluations for distribution to project teams and project executives. Conduct safety record audits to ensure all safety related records are accurate and up to date. Conduct required project safety training. Develop and deliver job-specific safety training as needed. Administer Job Site Specific Safety Incentive Award Program. Operate milling machine to ensure proper cross slope, crown line, and depth of cut is achieved and meets and the surface meets the project requirements and specifications. Inform your supervisor immediately of any challenges regarding the project. Be sure assigned equipment is properly maintained and kept clean at all times. Make sure all equipment is parked in a safe area in a neat and orderly fashion and accessible to transports. Know and understand the clear zone requirements. Place Type 2 barricades if needed making sure the equipment is not a hazard. Be sure all equipment is fueled, filled with water and necessary teeth are replaced at the end of shift. Be sure to lock all compartments. Inspect the project daily, prior to departing, to ensure work is complete with the highest quality and all clean-up is complete. Position Summary The Asphalt Plant Technician plays a vital role in supporting daily asphalt plant operations by safely operating heavy equipment, performing general labor duties, assisting with plant maintenance, and ensuring the efficient production of quality asphalt materials. Monitor material inventory levels and communicate plant needs to supervisors. Perform routine plant housekeeping including shoveling, sweeping, cleanup, and grounds maintenance. Assist with preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs on plant equipment and components. Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and notify management of more complex repairs. Support plant mechanics with maintenance and repair projects as needed. Utilize plant operating systems and computer controls to assist with plant production and inventory management. Inspect equipment and plant components to identify potential maintenance concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the facility. Work collaboratively with plant personnel, truck drivers, mechanics, and management to achieve production goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous experience working at an asphalt plant, aggregate facility, construction materials plant, or similar industrial environment preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, forklifts, excavators, or similar equipment preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn plant operating systems and production software. Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructions. Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as production schedules require. Paving Superintendent

Position Summary: The Paving Superintendent provides overall project support and leadership to all team members and subcontractors. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality, adhering to all specifications and company standards. Responsibilities: Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Notify the Operations Manager in case of illness to arrange proper project coverage. Maintain physical capability to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and twisting. Report daily crew attendance to the Operations Coordinator. Keep a copy of the project plans and specifications on hand at all times and confirm details with the Project Manager. Arrive on-site 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to review the project with the Foreman and ensure all equipment is functional and in position. Conduct a site walkthrough to identify and address potential hazards. Complete and submit daily time sheets in Heavy Job. Establish and maintain positive relationships with project personnel, subcontractors, and the project superintendent. Oversee and ensure proper project layout from contract drawings for optimal quality and productivity. Attend and facilitate Weekly Toolbox Talks, submitting reports to the Safety Department. Supervise and coordinate activities of all team members under supervision. Ensure efficient operation of crew and trucking throughout the shift. Confirm and coordinate asphalt tonnage and mix types with the plant. Calculate the required number of trucks for paving and milling operations. Monitor trucking activity throughout the shift and adjust truck numbers as needed by communicating with the Foreman, Dispatch, and Plant. Obtain approval and signatures for all change orders, extra work, and overruns from the Project Manager and Owner. Secure a Paving Release from the owner when necessary to relieve the company from uncontrollable project challenges. Ensure assigned equipment is properly maintained and clean at all times. Report equipment repair needs to the Shop Superintendent promptly. Park all equipment safely and in an orderly fashion, following clear zone requirements and placing Type 2 barricades as needed. Address team member issues by suspending employees if necessary, in consultation with the Operations Manager. All terminations are handled by Senior Management. Monitor and support all Foreman responsibilities. Verify subcontractor work hours and ensure sign-in/out sheets are completed legibly. Conduct daily project inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and all cleanup is completed. Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the supervisor and Safety Department. Communicate with Quality Control and review reports to ensure data accuracy and alignment with project measurements. Track yields, density, slope, and straight edge compliance. Submit daily schedule requests to Dispatch (cc Plant Manager, Operations Manager, QC Manager, and Operations Coordinator) by 10 AM for day shifts and at the end of the shift for night work. Send the weekly schedule to the Operations Coordinator (cc Operations Manager and Dispatch) every Thursday by 10 AM. Attend weekly Operations Meetings and prepare in advance for special project requirements. Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Minimum of five years of paving experience. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and/or Level 2 certification is a plus.
