The Saint Alphonsus Family Maternity Center delivers 1,200 infants a year and is staffed by a highly certified L&D nursing staff, OB Hospitalist service, and onsite 24-hour anesthesia (CRNA) coverage. Our safety-oriented team of OB/GYNs collaborate with on-campus Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians, Neonatologists, and genetic counselors to serve the region's diverse patient population. Our 6-bed, Level II NICU in Nampa (15 miles west of Boise) is clinically integrated with the Birkeland Maternity Center with an annual delivery rate of 1000 babies and is the only NICU in Canyon County. The NICU currently provides a high level of care for newborns >34wks and 1500g. This practice is a full-spectrum Surgical Oncology and General Surgery practice that includes open, endoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures. The APP will assist with seeing patients in the clinic with ability to eventually run an independent clinic in partnership with supervising physician, assist with patient rounding in the hospital, and in the operating room. The provider will also ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. Expertise and proficiency utilizing electronic health records is necessary. Our practice utilizes minimally invasive techniques previous experience or drive to be adept to robotic surgery is of utmost importance. The qualified candidate will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and having the ability to independently manage patients in an outpatient clinical setting is of importance along with performing office-based procedures.
