About the Role: The Behavioral Health and Emergency Department Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (NPD Practitioner) at Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center, under limited supervision, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive education and professional development programs supporting the Behavioral Health (BHU) and Emergency Department (ED) service lines. Grounded in adult learning principles and aligned with the ANA Nursing Professional Development Scope and Standards, this role promotes clinical excellence through onboarding oversight, competency validation, and at-the-elbow education. Candidates should bring a strong clinical background in Behavioral Health and/or Emergency Nursing experience to effectively support high-acuity patient populations and crisis-driven environments. The NPD Practitioner partners with interdisciplinary leaders and frontline clinical team members as a facilitator, mentor, and advisor to advance quality improvement and ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care. Key Responsibilities: Develops and evaluates education programs for the BHU and ED using adult learning principles and professional development standards. Provides leadership, support, and at-the-elbow education for frontline team members in the BHU and ED, promoting clinical excellence in high-acuity and crisis-driven environments. Partners with BHU and ED leadership, as well as interdisciplinary teams, to advance quality improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, and hospital-wide education priorities. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's preferred. Licensure: Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license required; American Heart Association issued BLS required. Inpatient Case Manager RN

Sinai Hospital's inpatient Care Management team provides discharge planning, transitional care coordination, complex care management, and utilization review through a multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, LPNs, licensed social workers, and administrative staff. While many functions are dictated by regulatory requirements, the core clinical focus is always on ensuring a safe and effective transition to the next appropriate level of care. Your work directly supports safe discharge planning, reduces barriers to care, and improves patient outcomes. About the Role: The Inpatient RN Case Manager at Sinai Hospital works with the clinical team and medical provider to coordinate and implement safe discharge plans for patients. Their main goals are to improve patient well-being, outcomes, and ensure healthcare services are used efficiently and timely. Key Responsibilities: Assessment & Planning: Conducts initial and ongoing assessments to determine patient needs for care coordination and discharge, then develops a focused discharge plan, especially for high-risk patients.
