Drive innovation in Identity Graph and Prefill systems , improving identity resolution, linking, and enrichment capabilities across global datasets. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Go-to-Market teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions that deliver customer value. Own the end-to-end model lifecycle , including data strategy, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements , balancing model performance with explainability, auditability, and governance. Continuously raise the bar on experimentation and execution velocity , enabling rapid iteration while maintaining high standards for reliability and impact. Own customer communication and stakeholder management , serving as a trusted technical leader in engagements with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders; clearly articulate model behavior, agentic systems, performance trade-offs, and roadmap decisions while building strong, long-term relationships. Represent Socure externally as a thought leader in identity, compliance, and applied AI. What You Bring Advanced degree (MS/PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. 10 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a strong track record of delivering production-grade AI systems at scale. Significant experience in identity verification, KYC/AML, fraud detection, or risk modeling in fintech or adjacent domains. Proven leadership experience managing and scaling high-performing data science teams. Deep expertise in modern machine learning techniques , including deep learning, graph neural networks , entity resolution, and large-scale data systems. Strong understanding of agentic system design , including agent skills, orchestration/harness frameworks, and real-world deployment of autonomous or human-in-the-loop agents. Strong experience working with heterogeneous data sources , including structured data, text, network/graph data, and third-party identity signals. Demonstrated ability to drive ambiguous, high-impact problems to production , balancing speed, rigor, and business outcomes. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and large-scale distributed data systems. Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch), and familiarity with graph ML frameworks is a plus. Proven ability to engage with customers and external stakeholders , clearly explaining complex AI systems, trade-offs, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences. This individual will play a key role on high priority programs and have significant interactions with senior engineers, system engineers, test engineers, program managers, and customers. Key Responsibilities Manage the technical team performance to project schedule and cost and support the program manager. Lead the new product development processes of electromechanical systems for commercial and military platforms. Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, judgment, cooperation, and ability to communicate technical information. Support new business pursuits that address program technical requirements and associated schedule and costs. Lead a technical team from the beginning to the end of a new development project. Communicate, plan, organize, supervise, and control work in one or more projects concurrently. Interface with both commercial and military customers in technical program definition and execution. Identify technical tasks and resources for projects and create engineering development plans, WBS, etc. needed to execute projects. Manage system requirements and define lower-level requirements. Oversee/review technical reports to satisfy internal and external deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. 6 years of experience as a technical lead. New Product Development experience in aerospace/military industry. Ability to effectively communicate, plan, organize, supervise, and control work in one or more projects concurrently. Experience in executing a project from the beginning to the end. Strong documentation and writing skills. Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians and comfortable in laboratory environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be a US Citizen. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required). Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements. Actively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. and support actions to drive company initiatives/goals. Assist in the training of personnel to perform required technical tasks (as directed). Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values. Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required. Position entails exposure to typical manufacturing (i.e., Machine Shop, Assembly, Testing, etc.) environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing, and foot protection (as required). Business office environment requiring use of telephone and personal computer. Work under pressure and overtime when required, in order to meet deadlines. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the Senior Project Engineer is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The Senior Project Engineer is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The Senior Project Engineer is frequently required to sit at length, stand, walk, and move about the facility. The Senior Project Engineer may be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
