This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across technical teams and client stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and has a proven track record of successfully delivering projects across the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Lead and support one or more project teams to successfully deliver project outcomes Plan, monitor, and report on project performance to ensure alignment with defined objectives, timelines, and quality standards Manage overall project performance, including financials, schedule, and delivery quality Scope & Change Management Define, document, and maintain project scope in alignment with contractual requirements Manage scope changes and oversee change order processes Project Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans Create and manage detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery Financial Management Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and estimates Track financial performance and ensure alignment with project goals Risk & Quality Management Develop and maintain risk management plans, including risk registers and mitigation strategies Ensure projects meet defined quality standards and compliance requirements Oversee document control processes and maintain accurate project records Agile & Delivery Execution Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives Lead requirements gathering, backlog tracking, and design discussions Manage scope, support UAT, and oversee deployments and documentation Resource Management Perform resource planning and forecasting Coordinate day-to-day project activities across teams Collaborate with engineering leadership to resolve resource and delivery challenges Client Engagement & Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong and collaborative relationships Lead client meetings, provide updates, and ensure alignment on project expectations Identify opportunities for additional work, enhancements, or new initiatives Partner with business development teams to support growth opportunities Reporting & Communication Maintain and communicate project status to stakeholders, leadership, and third-party partners Provide clear, consistent reporting on project progress, risks, and performance Sales & Proposal Support Contribute to proposals, statements of work (SOWs), contracts, and related documentation Support project scoping and planning activities for new business opportunities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Transportation, Electrical), Computer Science, or a related field 5 years of experience managing full lifecycle IT/software development projects Experience delivering multi-phase, multi-million-dollar projects Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of 5–8 members Strong experience working in Agile development environments (2 years) Familiarity with ITIL and operational management methodologies PMP certification required; CSM certification is a plus Skills & Expertise Strong project planning, organization, and execution skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to manage stakeholders and client relationships Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience with requirements management, UAT coordination, and deployment processes Understanding of business development and proposal processes Preferred Experience Experience working in complex, technology-driven environments such as infrastructure, transportation systems, or enterprise platforms Familiarity with software development technologies (e.g., Java) is a plus Interested in hearing more?
