The Senior Director, Treasury will partner with the Chief Financial Officer on liquidity, capital allocation, risk management, and operational excellence through building scalable processes, controls, and capabilities.In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:Building a comprehensive treasury strategy aligned with Halozyme corporate objectivesProviding treasury perspective and modeling for Board and Investor communications on liquidity position, capital structure, risk management, and capital return strategyPartnering with the Chief Financial Officer on developing and managing Halozyme’s capital allocation strategy and decisionsForecasting cash, royalties & milestone collections, payment timing, capital, share repurchases, and M&A outflowsOverseeing bank administration, signatory controls, online banking, and reconciliation processesEvaluating and implementing Treasury Management Systems as neededDeveloping, implementing, monitoring, and updating the short-term investment policies for cash reserves and marketable securities, balancing safety, liquidity, yield, and riskManaging the investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall liquidity needs and debt obligationsIdentifying, measuring, monitoring, and mitigating key financial risks including foreign exchange, interest rate risk, and credit riskRecommending hedging strategiesSupporting broader enterprise risk management efforts that may intersect with treasuryProviding recommendations and execution on the share buyback planAnalyzing debt capacity and determining optimal debt financing optionsModeling organic and M&A valuations, tracking, funding analysis, integration planning, and overall support for M&A, licensing deals, and business development opportunitiesEstablishing, documenting, and implementing continuous improvement measures for treasury policies, procedures, and SOX control (cash, banking, payments, risk management)Ensuring compliance with debt covenants, SEC reporting requirements, and other regulatory obligationsDelivering timely reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, executive team, Audit Committee, and other stakeholders as requiredOther duties as assignedTo succeed in this role, you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of diverse financial and business experienceMBA preferredAt least 6 years of corporate Treasury leadership experienceDiverse experience in cross-disciplinary financial roles such as controllership, FP&A, tax, program finance, financial reporting, etc.An equivalent combination of experience and education may be consideredExperience with managing various convertible debt portfoliosExperience leading share repurchase programs for public companiesExperience providing Treasury and/or financial consultation on M&A transactionsExperience leading cash flow efficiency and effectiveness initiativesExperience consulting on hedging initiativesGlobal treasury experience is preferredIn return, we offer you:Full and comprehensive benefit program, including an Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401(k) matching.Opportunities to grow in a culture that prioritizes learning, development and progression through in-house programs and tuition reimbursement.A collaborative, innovative team that works as one to amplify your impact—on your career, the work you do and patients’ lives.The most likely base pay range for this position is $250K - $290K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme.
