Job Details Sr Mechanical/Process Design Engineer - Technical Lead (Cleanrooms/Pharma/Healthcare/cGMP) – Remote (East Coast Preferred) Successful candidates will have 8-10 years of experience with an Engineering Consulting Firm performing Mechanical and Process/Piping Systems Design for Cleanrooms, Laboratories, FDA-Regulated Environments, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities, and cGMP Facilities. Fully Remote, East Coast preferred, ideally in PA/NJ/DE Area. $115K - $150K Depending on Experience Requirement: ‑ 8-10 years of Design experience with Engineering Consulting Firm working on Cleanrooms, Labs, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, and cGMP Facilities. BS or MS Mechanical Engineering, ABET Accredited PE License Required ‑ Revit Software * Required * ‑ Expertise in Process Piping Systems Design for FDA-Regulated Environments and Critical Utilities ‑ Lead MEP and process design projects from concept through closeout—acting as the quarterback between clients, engineering teams, and field partners. ‑ Cleanroom Design & Optimization including HVAC Systems, Filtration & Purification Systems. ‑ Works closely with other architects, engineers, and designers, as well as other internal & external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible, and complete design. ‑ Project work may include All Levels of Design such as Studies, Conceptual and Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation and Construction Administration. ‑ Proficient at fundamental discipline design calculations under the supervision of an engineer; experience performing engineering calculations, developing & implementing list of discipline systems designs. ‑ Proficiency in engineering software applications including computer-aided drafting, process modeling and calculation programs ‑ Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and client communications like a boss. ‑ Coordinate deliverables across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty process systems (think clean steam, WFI, lab gases, etc.). ‑ Forecast resourcing needs and timelines without micromanaging—but with precision. ‑ Attend project meetings (virtually and sometimes in-person), speak client, and translate engineering speak with grace. ‑ Keep the team focused, the clients confident, and the documentation tight. ‑ Project Management experience is a Plus Benefits: Competitive salary annual bonuses Flexible, remote-first work environment Real time off—we mean it Opportunity to work on cutting-edge pharma and lab projects with prominent Clients Supportive, wellness-forward leadership Interested in hearing more?
