Communicate with supplier, Altec associates and customers on issues of technical specifications, product design and operation as appropriate Lead and participate in on-site and teleconference improvement and problem-solving meetings with suppliers and Altec teams. Analyze supplier performance data and drive improvement activities. Train suppliers and Altec associates in quality related methods and systems. Audit supplier’s quality systems and drive associated corrective actions. Manage supplier corrective actions using Altec’s Supplier Portal. Review and approve supplier new products and changes using PPAP and other change management techniques. Keep accurate and detailed records of supplier performance tracking, meetings and communications. Operate with some decision-making latitude within the scope of an assignment. Know and apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the quality field. Utilize Lean principles to improve our products and processes. Manage various sizes of Altec projects. May act as Team Lead Champion corporate-wide containments and act as a liaison between local plant resources and suppliers EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: ABET EAC certified Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Master’s Degree in Engineering Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an engineering role after earning the Degree in Engineering Applicable Masters counts as one year of experience. Coop, Intern, Temp experience does not count towards the requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
