This role involves developing drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and related deliverables. Typical systems include HVAC, plumbing, control systems, medical gas infrastructure, process piping, and fire protection. Additionally, the Senior Mechanical Engineer oversees project management when assigned and contributes to firm-wide client relationship management efforts. Essential Functions Contribute to project planning by actively participating in scope definition and fee development, including attendance at pre-proposal meetings. Develop mechanical design solutions informed by a strong understanding of industry standards and constructability best practices. Apply in-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards to ensure compliance and quality in all design work. Utilize industry-standard software such as Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and other relevant tools. Perform field investigations, energy audits, life cycle cost analyses, energy modeling, and cost estimation. Provide construction-phase support, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and managing design modifications. Lead, mentor, and support the development of junior staff. Real Estate Paralegal

Responsibilities: · Prepare and manage residential real estate files, including maintaining detailed closing checklists and timelines. Draft, review, and organize contracts of sale, riders, closing statements, and related documents. Coordinate all aspects of the closing process, including scheduling, preparing closing packages, and ensuring delivery of final documents. Order and review title searches, lien payoffs, tax certificates, surveys, and homeowners’ association documents; identify and assist in resolving title issues. Communicate regularly with clients, lenders, realtors, title companies, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth transaction flow. Assist with escrow-style closings, including preparing settlement statements, balancing funds, and managing wire transfers. Compile and distribute post-closing binders and ensure proper filing and recording of documents. Handle administrative tasks related to deal management, such as scanning, organizing files, preparing FedEx/UPS packages, and maintaining checklists. Maintain accurate time records and case notes in accordance with firm policies. On occasion, attend closings locally to provide direct paralegal support. Qualifications: · Paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience. 5 years of experience in residential real estate; Connecticut transaction experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong knowledge of residential real estate closings, including contract review, title and survey review, payoff coordination, and pre-/post-closing procedures. Experience collaborating with attorneys, clients, lenders, realtors, title companies, and other parties involved in residential transactions. Notary Public preferred or must be able to obtain one quickly. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
