Pay: $54.52 - $58.42 per hour based on experience Schedule: This is a PRN role and requires some travel to client's homes The Physical Therapist will provide ongoing therapy evaluations and treatments and education to clients in a timely manner per physician’s orders. To provide leadership and supervision of physical therapy services to other physical therapists, assistants and aides. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats clients, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains appropriate documentation of services and complying with State and Federal regulations. Participates in on-going agency meetings and conducts in-service and training for agency staff on ongoing basis. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and is currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in state where practicing. Able to understand medical terminology and how it applies to physical therapy, to communicate with residents, staff, physicians, and to prepare meaningful reports. Spatial and form perception are necessary to visualize anatomical structure of the disabled part of the body and the relation to therapeutic devices in remedial actions. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) 65% Criteria A) Performs EEG recordings, including wake and sleep, bedside, electrocerebral inactivity (ECI) evaluations and 24-hour ambulatory EEGs. B) Summarizes the patient’s neurological status and clinical history and completes the documentation needed for physician interpretation, including history sheets, labeling of tracing, etc C) Monitors EEG for special studies including WADA (sodium amytal studies), and ictal SPECT studies. D) Notifies the surgeon of degraded responses during surgeries. Troubleshoots and rules out any technical problems. Alerts medical director or his/her designee when necessary. E) Performs long term epilepsy monitoring to evaluate patients with paroxysmal disturbances of cerebral function, electrocorticography and cortical mapping. F) Maintains equipment( to include helium exchange) and supplies for all studies performed. 2) Completes all necessary documentation for departmental record, patient procedures, etc. (2, 5, 6) 10% Criteria A) Enters charges daily for procedures performed with no more than 1 error per week. B) Enters required patient information into daily log books. C) Enters information into hospital and department computer equipment for other departmental functions (archiving patient data), service requisitions, etc. 3) Supports all functions, goals and objectives of the department as well as development of any new programs that involve the Neurophysiology Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
