Enterprise Account Executive – New York (New York)

About Elastio Elastio is an innovative cybersecurity company changing how organizations detect ransomware attacks and protect their most critical data. Traditional security tools focus on stopping attackers from entering a network or detecting suspicious activity. Elastio takes a different approach. Our platform examines the data itself, using agentic AI investigation and deep data inspection to uncover signs of active compromise, identify security weaknesses attackers could exploit, detect ransomware encryption, and establish clean recovery points. By combining early threat discovery with ransomware recovery assurance, Elastio helps enterprises answer two critical questions: Has an attacker compromised our environment, and can we recover our business if an attack succeeds? We are expanding our enterprise sales organization and looking for an experienced sales executive to help bring this differentiated approach to the financial services industry. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Account Executive focused on Financial Services to develop and close new business with large banks, insurance companies, payment processors, investment firms, and other financial institutions. This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced enterprise cybersecurity salesperson who understands the financial services market, has established relationships with security decision-makers, and knows how to create opportunities in complex enterprise accounts. You will own the sales process from initial engagement through contract execution, working directly with CISOs, security leaders, infrastructure executives, and other senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, brings a network of industry relationships, and can translate differentiated technology into compelling business value. What you'll do Develop and Win Enterprise Accounts Build and execute strategic account plans targeting large financial institutions, including banks, insurers, payment processors, capital markets firms, and asset managers. Leverage existing relationships with CISOs, security executives, and other enterprise decision-makers to generate qualified opportunities. Prospect, develop, and close new business while consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets. Identify business initiatives, security concerns, and regulatory pressures that create compelling reasons for customers to act. Develop relationships across multiple levels of an organization to build consensus and secure executive sponsorship. Lead Strategic Cybersecurity Conversations Position Elastio's differentiated approach to identifying active threats, uncovering exploitable weaknesses, detecting ransomware, and assuring recovery. Engage senior security executives in meaningful discussions about cyber resilience, operational risk, and the limitations of traditional security approaches. Understand how financial institutions evaluate and manage ransomware risk, regulatory obligations, and business continuity. Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes, including reduced operational risk, improved incident readiness, and confidence in recovery. Establish Elastio as a trusted advisor rather than simply another security vendor. Own the Enterprise Sales Process Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery and qualification through technical evaluation, procurement, negotiation, and close. Work closely with Solutions Engineering to design and execute successful proofs of value with clearly defined business outcomes and decision criteria. Build compelling business cases that connect Elastio's capabilities to executive priorities and measurable customer value. Navigate financial services procurement, vendor risk management, security assessments, and legal contracting requirements. Maintain disciplined opportunity management, accurate forecasting, and clear next steps using Salesforce. Collaborate with Elastio leadership, engineering, marketing, and channel partners to accelerate opportunities and drive customer success. Build Market Presence Develop relationships with strategic technology and advisory partners, including AWS, systems integrators, and cybersecurity service providers. Identify and leverage industry events, executive networks, and professional associations to create new opportunities. Provide feedback from financial services customers to help shape Elastio's product direction, market positioning, and sales strategy. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 7 years of enterprise technology sales experience, including significant experience selling cybersecurity solutions. Demonstrated success selling into large financial institutions, preferably including major banks, insurance companies, payment networks, or capital markets organizations. Established relationships with CISOs, senior cybersecurity leaders, and enterprise technology decision-makers within the financial services industry. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and closing complex six-figure enterprise software transactions. Demonstrated ability to generate new business independently rather than relying primarily on inbound leads. Experience managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical evaluations, executive sponsorship, legal negotiations, and procurement. Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity, including threat detection, ransomware, cloud security, and data protection. Executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technology in clear, business-oriented language. Experience with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and disciplined CRM-based forecasting. Ability to operate independently, manage priorities, and succeed in a fast-moving, high-growth company. Preferred Qualifications 10 years selling enterprise cybersecurity solutions, including experience with major financial services accounts. Previous experience with a cybersecurity startup or emerging technology vendor. Background selling EDR/XDR, threat detection, ransomware protection, cloud security, data security, or cyber resilience solutions. Familiarity with the regulatory and operational resilience considerations affecting financial institutions. Experience building opportunities through partners such as AWS, Deloitte, IBM, and other enterprise technology and security advisory firms. Proven ability to introduce new security categories or differentiated technologies into established enterprise security environments. Experience selling SaaS or subscription-based security platforms with recurring revenue models. What Success Looks Like In this role, success is measured by your ability to create and close high-quality enterprise opportunities, establish Elastio within strategic financial services accounts, and build a sustainable book of business. You will be expected to: Consistently achieve or exceed new annual recurring revenue targets. Generate and maintain sufficient qualified pipeline to support predictable revenue growth. Build meaningful executive relationships within priority financial services accounts. Advance opportunities based on verified customer needs, committed sponsors, business value, and documented decision processes. Develop long-term customer relationships that create opportunities for expansion and strategic references. Compensation Base salary: $150,000–$160,000 Target commission: $150,000–$160,000 Total OTE (On-Target Earnings): $300,000–$320,000 Compensation split: 50% base / 50% commission Why Elastio? Cybersecurity is evolving, but many organizations still struggle to know whether attackers have compromised their environments or whether their backups can be trusted after a ransomware attack. Elastio is addressing this problem from a different direction—looking directly at the data to uncover threats and provide evidence that traditional defenses can miss. This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial cybersecurity company, represent differentiated technology, work directly with company leadership, and help establish Elastio as an important security platform within the world's leading financial institutions. If you have built your career selling cybersecurity to financial institutions, have the relationships to open doors, and enjoy winning complex enterprise deals, we would like to hear from you. Elastio is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and business needs without regard to legally protected characteristics.
