Job Description Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Constructability Coordinator to fill a contract assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. PPE: Hardhat, Steel toe EH work boots, Traffic Vest, Work gloves, and Safety glasses. Successful candidates must provide their own safety boots. Job Summary This position will work closely with Account Executive and Lighting Design Analyst to assist with lighting designs to ensure all National Electrical Code (NEC) systems meet local code requirements in Alabama. This position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, tracking, and managing the installation and maintenance of NEC lighting systems in the upper half of the state. This individual is responsible for quality control, providing performance feedback to Lighting Contractors, approving payment of invoices, assisting with lighting project designs, and addressing lighting maintenance issues. This person is also responsible for ensuring that lighting systems are safely installed and repaired within cost estimates and comply with all codes and specifications and exceed internal and external customer expectations. Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Work with Lighting Account Executives, Sale Consultants and Lighting Design Analyst to facilitate a lighting design that meets all safety, NEC codes and the company’s specifications. • Conduct pre-construction job site visits to identify site conditions and conflicts that might impact on the safe and timely installation of lighting facilities. • Coordinate pre-construction meetings with the company and Customer representatives to communicate job site responsibilities and coordinate construction schedules. • Coordinate with the appropriate Division personnel the installation and repair of lighting equipment along with distribution facilities. • Ensure that all permits and utility are in place prior to the commencement of construction and remain valid throughout the construction process. • Review and approval of contract labor unit sheets and tracking of all labor associated with each lighting project. • Manage job schedule to ensure all commitment dates are achieved. • Ensure that all labor units are charged to the correct DWE for each lighting project and maintenance order • Inspect completed lighting installation and repair projects to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and specifications. Education & Job Experience • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience in outdoor NEC lighting system design and installation. • Experience with NEC lighting system designs, installations and repairs. • Experience managing contractor workforce. • Electrical License in the state of Alabama. • Master Electrical License required. • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and across organizational groups to include both internal and external customers. • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within project timelines and budgets. • Proficiency with a computer includes the ability to use Microsoft Office, LAMP, CAMP, and Fulcrum.
