Job Details Job Details: We are seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution Team Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with a focus on software technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, encryption, and portfolio development. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our client's patent portfolios, advising on intellectual property matters, and ensuring the protection of our client's inventions and ideas. This position is ideally based in Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA. The firm may also consider candidates located in the following offices: Atlanta, GA, Menlo Park, CA, Raleigh, NC, Seattle, WA, Walnut Creek, CA, Washington, DC Location flexibility is available for the right candidate, depending on experience and practice alignment. Responsibilities: Draft and prosecute patent applications for a broad range of inventions in areas such as software technologies, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and encryption. Respond to office actions from patent offices around the world. Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and infringement analyses. Provide strategic advice for patent portfolio development and management. Counsel clients on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent strategy, portfolio analysis, and patent prosecution. Collaborate with technical experts to understand our client's technologies and business goals. Conduct legal research and stay updated on recent case laws and developments in areas related to software technologies, AI, cybersecurity, and encryption. Prepare and deliver presentations and training to clients on intellectual property matters. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent prosecution, preferably in the areas of software technologies, AI, and cloud computing. Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Strong technical understanding of software technologies, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and encryption. Proven experience in drafting patent applications and responding to office actions. Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts. Strong client counseling and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
