Job Details Our client is seeking a Controller to serve as the senior financial leader for the business unit, supporting both operational execution and strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with the General Manager and leadership team and has full ownership of financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and team leadership. The Controller will play a key role in driving financial discipline, process improvement, and system modernization as the business continues to scale. Financial Leadership & Strategy Act as the primary financial representative for the business unit, partnering with leadership on strategic and tactical initiatives Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, including material margin and direct margin variance analysis Support annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial goals Accounting, Reporting & Close Own the 7-day month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and completed reconciliations Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP, with specific emphasis on ASC 606 Oversee preparation of internal and external financial, operational, and statistical reports Manage monthly closings and reporting into Quantic/OneStream packages Controls, Risk & Compliance Own company risk management, including internal controls, credit controls, and financial procedures Coordinate and support annual audits, tax compliance, and EBP/401(k) audit requests Approve ACH payments, wire transfers, and bi-weekly check runs Cash Flow, Systems & Process Improvement Partner with leadership to monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity Drive data integrity, automation, and reporting efficiency through financial systems Assist with ERP implementation and serve as NetSuite subject matter expert Establish efficient finance processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities Team Leadership & Development Lead and develop the finance team, aligning performance goals with company objectives Set clear, measurable expectations and support ongoing professional development Maintain overall supervisory responsibility for accounting, disbursements, and accounts receivable Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (required) CPA, CMA, or MBA (preferred) Experience 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Minimum of 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role Manufacturing experience strongly preferred Experience with standard costing Technical Skills Strong command of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills Experience with financial modeling, variance analysis, and ROI analysis Professional Skills Strong business acumen and strategic mindset Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results High attention to detail with the ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines Interested in hearing more?
