The Vice President is responsible for delivering sustainable financial performance while advancing operational excellence, market leadership, organizational capability, and customer loyalty ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Strategic Leadership Establish and execute the strategic vision and operating plan for the Manhattan Branch, aligning business priorities with corporate objectives and long-term growth strategies. Ensure strong coordination and collaboration across Service, Repair, Modernization, and New Installation teams to maximize operational efficiency, customer experience, and financial performance. Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, building organizational capability, succession plans, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Represent the Manhattan Branch with executive leadership, key customers, labor partners, industry stakeholders, and the local business community. Champion a customer-focused, safety-first culture that reinforces operational excellence and business performance. Business & Financial Performance Maintain full P&L responsibility for the branch, delivering revenue, EBIT, gross margin, cash flow, and working capital objectives. Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, operational, and financial risks that may impact branch profitability, customer relationships, or business performance. Drive profitable growth through disciplined financial management, operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and strategic investment decisions. Analyze business performance to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and implement actions that improve financial and operational results. Review and approve major customer agreements, pricing strategies, capital expenditures, and other significant business investments. Drive backlog growth, conversion, and execution performance to maximize revenue realization, cash flow, and customer satisfaction. Ensure disciplined management of accounts receivable, collections, retainage recovery, and contract risk mitigation initiatives. Commercial Leadership Lead commercial growth strategies and partner with sales and operations leaders to achieve booking, pricing, retention, and market share objectives across all business lines. Build and maintain executive relationships with building owners, developers, property management firms, consultants, architects, engineers, and general contractors throughout the Manhattan market. Partner with sales and operations leaders to achieve booking, pricing, market share, and retention objectives across all business lines. Promote exceptional customer service and retention through operational execution and trusted client partnerships. Operational Excellence Ensure all branch operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, technology adoption, performance management, and operational best practices. Monitor key performance indicators including backlog, labor utilization, project execution, service quality, modernization performance, and customer satisfaction. Partner with regional and corporate leadership to implement enterprise initiatives that improve operational performance and scalability. Drive workforce productivity, labor efficiency, resource utilization, and execution performance across all operating functions. Safety, Risk & Compliance Promote an uncompromising culture of safety while ensuring compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Lead safety reviews, compliance audits, and corrective action initiatives that continuously improve organizational performance. Ensure adherence to elevator codes, labor regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, including the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC). Talent & Culture Lead workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives that strengthen the long-term success of the branch. Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture focused on employee engagement, accountability, continuous learning, and professional development. Oversee performance management for both union and non-union employees while partnering with Human Resources and Labor Relations to effectively manage employee and labor relations matters. Executive & Corporate Leadership Collaborate with executive leadership and corporate partners across Operations, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Safety, and Labor Relations. Represent the Manhattan Branch in executive business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and enterprise-wide leadership initiatives. Ensure branch priorities, investments, and execution align with TK Elevator's overall business strategy and long-term objectives. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent executive leadership experience will also be considered. MBA or other advanced business-related degree preferred. Executive leadership experience within the elevator industry preferred; experience in construction, industrial services, building systems, manufacturing, or other related industries will also be considered. Experience leading large-scale multi-functional operations with significant revenue, workforce, and customer portfolios. Demonstrated success leading large, complex operations with full P&L responsibility and accountability for financial and operational performance. Proven record of driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Strong financial acumen with experience managing large operating budgets, forecasting business performance, and driving strategic investment decisions. Experience leading both union and non-union organizations, including knowledge of IUEC collective bargaining agreements. Thorough understanding of elevator operations, including Service, Repair, Modernization, and New Installation businesses. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, elevator codes, employment laws, and applicable regulatory requirements.
