About the Opening Provide comprehensive general surgery services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow?up care. Perform a wide range of operative procedures consistent with a community?based, “bread and butter” general surgery practice. Conduct endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy, with the capacity to build a high?volume endoscopy practice. Utilize the da Vinci robotic platform for minimally invasive surgical procedures as appropriate. Participate in hospital call coverage at Smyth County Community Hospital, supported by the Bristol?based surgical team. Call responsibilities include no more than 10 call shifts per month, with remaining days being covered by partners located in the Bristol office. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to ensure high?quality patient care.
