Overview Pediatrix Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for a Sonographer Float to join our team at one of our Maternal Fetal Medicine clinics in Fort Worth, TX. Responsibilities The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer provides diagnostic ultrasound tests for patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine setting. Assists physician with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. Recognizes equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action. Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies. Follows the accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining two‐dimensional images, color flow, Doppler, and m‐mode where applicable. Rotates as needed to cover Sonographer absences. Performs related and other assigned duties as directed. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent. Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in OB/GYN. Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements. CPR certification required. Experience: Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred. Newborn Hearing Screen Technician - Per Diem Position

Overview Join us in making a difference in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns as a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician! As a newborn hearing screen technician, you will provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on‐site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on‐the‐job training. This includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. By offering this certification, we strive to ensure our employees are adept in improving early detection of hearing impairments and encouraging timely intervention. Responsibilities On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom's hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary: The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Director of Sleep Services or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technologist and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is credentialed in sleep technology. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Sleep Study Procedures Follow procedural protocols [such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc.] to ensure collection of appropriate data. Perform appropriate physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals and make required adjustments. Follow lights out procedures to establish and document baseline values (such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.). Perform data acquisition while monitoring study‐tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact‐free. Identify, correct and document artifact. Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.). Follow lights on procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (e.g. repeat the physiological and instrument calibrations and instruct the patient on completing questionnaires, checking for completeness, etc.). Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines. Score clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.) utilizing AASM standards. Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to perform portable monitoring equipment preparation and data download. Perform patient education and instruction appropriate for out of center sleep testing. Demonstrate adherence to cleaning and disinfection procedures for portable monitoring devices. Demonstrate adherence to AASM scoring parameters for OCST; identify artifact, inadequate signals and study failures and generate an accurate report.
