The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level accounting support, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and helping to guide our financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong understanding of GAAP, Cost Accounting, Forecasting, Budgeting, and Fixed Assets to make a significant impact within a fast-paced, growing industry. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Assist with financial reporting, ensuring all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, both internally and externally. Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Reconcile complex accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete. Conduct regular ledger maintenance. Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs. Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles. Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role. Must have experience with YARDI software POWER BI experience highly preferred Experience with fund accounting, cost accounting or preferred term calculations highly preferred Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP). Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and supervise. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
