Role Description Arcadis has an immediate need for a Principal Industrial Hygiene Consultant based out of our Houston or Dallas, Texas office. This role will emphasize client marketing, developing client relationships, mentoring staff, and growing our Industrial Hygiene services in the Gulf Coast region as well as nationally. As a leader for our Industrial Hygiene service, you will collaborate with staff and contribute to a wide array of environmental projects for diverse market sectors. Responsibilities Market, sell, develop, and manage a wide variety of Industrial Hygiene and safety services in the Gulf Coast region and nationwide, including chemical exposure assessments, noise surveys, asbestos, lead‑paint, hazardous building materials, IAQ/mold consulting, and other compliance work. Oversee preparation of proposals, reports, and deliverables; coordinate reviews of project documents with consultants, clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Provide leadership, training, and management support; mentor staff in Industrial Hygiene consulting; serve as subject matter expert resource. Develop relationships with client stakeholders in the Gulf Coast region to identify and pursue business opportunities. Qualifications 10 years in client‑focused consulting with emphasis on Industrial Hygiene, asbestos, lead‑based paint, hazardous building materials, IAQ, mold evaluations, and chemical exposure assessments. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem‑solving; ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to deliver effective presentations and training sessions. Education: BS in physical sciences, industrial hygiene, safety, environmental sciences, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). General understanding of HVAC and building mechanical systems, construction, renovation, and demolition activities.
