Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance. • Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required. • Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment. Requirements: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training an experience. • Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting. • Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory. Competencies: • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. Physical Demands: Be able to work 12-hour shifts, 8a-8p or 8p-8am, rotating: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next. Ability to work overtime when needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
