Position Summary The Field Systems Engineer provides on-site and remote technical support for Bartech installations throughout North America. This position is responsible for installing and commissioning systems, diagnosing and repairing hardware, troubleshooting software and networking issues, training customer personnel, and providing advanced Tier 2 technical support. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated IT professional who can work independently, manage customer projects with minimal supervision, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Primary Responsibilities Install, configure, and commission Bartech minibar systems at hotel properties throughout North America. Configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity for Bartech equipment. Install, configure, and support Windows servers, Microsoft SQL Server, and Bartech applications. Test, configure, and verify the operation of Bartech hardware using internal diagnostic and testing tools. Diagnose, repair, replace, and functionally test printed circuit boards (PCBs) and hardware assemblies to restore minibar operation. Perform on-site maintenance, repairs, and preventive service. Provide Tier 2 technical support to customers and internal staff by phone, email, and remote access. Troubleshoot networking, software, hardware, database, and operating system issues. Plan, coordinate, and execute on-site service visits independently while working directly with customer Engineering, IT, and Operations teams. Provide hands-on technical training to Engineering, IT, and Operations personnel on the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Bartech hardware and software systems. Deliver both on-site and remote technical support and training to customers. Document installations, service work, and technical findings accurately. Partner with the Development team to diagnose complex technical issues, validate software fixes, and provide customer feedback to improve products and processes. Use PowerShell as part of system administration and troubleshooting activities. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and exceptional customer service. Follow company procedures and maintain a high level of customer service during all customer interactions. Safely lift and move minibar units and related equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed during installations and service calls.
