Paramedic - Full Time (Hiring Immediately)

Paramedics may also perform clerical, maintenance, and other related duties as assigned. Job Duties: Operates an emergency vehicle, responding to emergency and non-emergency scenes and transporting patients to appropriate destinations. Ensures that the assigned ambulance and items of equipment are stocked, clean, maintained and ready to use. Assesses patient to promote optimal levels of wellness throughout pre-hospital care and implements patient care to assure comprehensive holistic care Demonstrates proficiency in pre-hospital basic & advanced life support skills. Demonstrates appropriate radio communications including; fluency, organization, and accuracy. Qualifications : Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state where employed, valid driver's license. Experience: Applicants must be at least 19 years of age to operate Mercy EMS vehicles. Certifications: Hazmat awareness level training, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer. Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
