Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity - Cooperstown, NY Benefits Details $500,000 - $600,000. Position Details - Diagnose and treat patients with musculoskeletal system disorders, malformations, diseases, and injuries, including prescribing courses of treatment, surgery, and therapy. - Review patient case histories, conduct examinations, and design treatment and therapeutic plans. - Order and interpret X-rays and clinical laboratory tests, and evaluate examination findings. - Perform surgical procedures such as back and spinal surgeries, joint replacements, and coordinate with anesthesia staff for operation care. - Determine and oversee pre-operative and post-operative care procedures, including sedation and diet prescriptions. - Perform fracture treatment using appropriate methods and devices, such as braces, casts, and splints. - Manage patients suffering from surgical complications, and direct pre- and post-operative care. - Create treatment plans, write orders on patient charts, and ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation. - Participate in the management of orthopedic surgery services, including scheduling operations and assigning surgical staff. - Contribute to quality improvement activities, participate in medical staff committees, and support process improvements. - Supervise physician assistants, surgical assistants, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses. - Ensure compliance with billing, coding, and CPT code assignment, and address any issues that could affect organizational efficiency.
