Use CAD tools to revise and document mechanical assemblies, drawings and parts. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical engineering issues as necessary. Work with third party engineering firms to review structural elements for enclosures. Prepare bills of materials to estimate steel cost and other materials needed for unit. Work efficiently with other departments to ensure products meet safety and quality standards. Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned. Required Knowledge/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline. 1-2 years of relevant experience working in engineering field preferred. Familiarity with CAD SolidWorks preferred. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a plus. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Able to read and understand P&ID. Ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions to complex, multi-disciplined design problems. Strong attention to detail. Excellent time management skills, ability to self-motivate. Strong communication skills to work effectively across departments. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, required. Understanding the forming of sheet metal work and capabilities preferred.
