General Manager, Puerto Rico (Guaynabo)

As the General Manager for Puerto Rico, with responsibility for the export business across the Dominican Republic including Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and complete Caribbean area (excluding the French Islands and Cuba) you will lead the overall business strategy and commercial performance for the market. Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth, maximizing market share, leading a high‑performing team, and building strong partnerships with distributors and key stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in translating regional strategies into local market success while adapting global and U.S. commercial best practices to meet local market needs, while ensuring alignment across functions. Main Responsibilities: Lead the overall commercial strategy and business performance for Puerto Rico and the export markets delivering sustainable sales growth and profitability. Develop and execute annual business plans and budgets aligned with regional strategic priorities. Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributors and key customers to drive mutual business success. Lead the execution of sales, marketing, and trade marketing strategies to maximize brand growth and market penetration. Drive the adoption of global and U.S. commercial best practices, including Joint Business Planning (JBP), Innovation Sessions, and the integration and sharing of annual business plans with key retail partners such as Walmart, Costco, and Sam's Club. Identify market trends, competitive activity, and business opportunities to inform strategic decisions. Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Quality to ensure operational excellence and business alignment. Monitor financial performance, business KPIs, and commercial initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve objectives. Champion quality and freshness standards while ensuring compliance with Ferrero policies and regional guidelines. Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development. Represent Ferrero externally with distributors, customers, and other strategic business partners while serving as the senior commercial leader for Puerto Rico and the export markets. About You: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced business degree preferred. 10 years of progressive commercial leadership experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, or retail industry. Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing business operations with full P&L accountability. Proven ability to develop and execute commercial, sales, and go‑to‑market strategies that drive business growth. Strong experience working with distributors, wholesalers, or large retail customers. Experience implementing commercial best practices such as Joint Business Planning (JBP), customer annual planning, innovation planning, and strategic retailer engagement is highly preferred. Excellent financial and business planning skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance management. Experience developing high‑performing teams through coaching, succession planning, and talent development. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across regional and global organizations.
