Role Overview The Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment is the company's lead legal advisor on employment matters, partnering closely with Human Resources and business leaders to help Beast Industries scale responsibly. This role provides practical, business-focused legal guidance across the employee lifecycle while helping the company navigate a rapidly evolving workforce, new business lines, and increasingly complex employment regulations. The Role This role owns employment legal strategy and day-to-day counseling across Beast Industries. Working closely with HR, Finance, Production, and executive leadership, you'll help build scalable people practices that support growth while managing legal and regulatory risk. You'll advise on everything from hiring and organizational changes to workplace investigations, compensation, employee relations, litigation, and compliance. Success in this role requires balancing legal judgment with practical business solutions that enable teams to move quickly and confidently. What You'll Do Serve as the primary in-house legal advisor on labor and employment matters across Beast Industries. Partner with Human Resources throughout the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and separations. Lead legal strategy and provide guidance for workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, and other sensitive employment matters. Advise leaders on federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour compliance, leave and accommodations, equal employment opportunity, and labor relations. Counsel business leaders on organizational changes, workforce planning, reductions in force, contingent workforce issues, and multi-state employment matters. Draft, review, and maintain employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employee policies, handbooks, separation agreements, and related employment documentation. Partner with HR and Finance on compensation, benefits, pay equity, and incentive programs to ensure legal compliance while supporting competitive talent practices. Manage employment litigation, administrative agency matters, and outside counsel, including strategy, budgets, and resolution. Monitor changes in employment law and proactively recommend updates to policies, practices, and training. Develop practical legal guidance, playbooks, and training that help managers make consistent, compliant employment decisions. Build trusted partnerships across the organization by providing clear, risk-calibrated advice that enables the business to move quickly while protecting the company. What You'll Bring Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar. 8-10 years of employment law experience, including significant in-house or law firm experience advising employers. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, and related state employment regulations. Experience leading workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employee relations matters. Experience advising on compensation, benefits, pay equity, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational change. Experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, separation agreements, and employment policies. Experience managing employment litigation, agency investigations, and outside counsel. Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. Strong judgment, communication skills, and the ability to build trust with leaders across all levels of the organization. Experience supporting media, entertainment, technology, creator economy, consumer products, or other high-growth businesses is a plus. Target total compensation ranges from $300,000 - $396,000, including a fixed annual salary of $250,000 - $330,000, a discretionary annual cash bonus, plus an employee equity grant, and comprehensive benefits. Assistant General Counsel, M&A (Santa Clara)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities M&A and Strategic Transactions Serve as the Company’s primary M&A lawyer supporting corporate development and integration teams across multiple transactions. Responsible for the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures, equity investments, and other strategic transactions. Advise corporate development, and other stakeholders on critical legal, regulatory, governance, financial, and business risks associated with such transactions. Draft, review, and negotiate letters of intent, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, exclusivity agreements, purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, transition services agreements, joint venture agreements, and other transaction documents. Manage legal due diligence, identify material legal risks, and coordinate diligence findings with internal stakeholders and external advisors. Support transaction approvals and governance processes, including preparation of resolutions, written consents, and board and committee materials as needed. Manage antitrust, competition, foreign investment, regulatory, employment, benefits, data privacy, intellectual property, and other legal issues arising in connection with strategic transactions. Support integration planning, separation matters, and post-closing legal implementation activities. Develop and refine transaction templates, playbooks, and internal processes to improve efficiency and consistency in deal execution. Monitor transaction milestones, critical deadlines, and closing deliverables. Education & Experience Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. At least 6 years of law firm experience focused on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, preferably for public companies. In-house experience with a publicly traded, multinational company, with demonstrated responsibility for high-value domestic and cross-border transactions preferred. Significant experience drafting transaction documents for complex domestic and cross-border deals and leading due diligence. Strong understanding of corporate law, deal structuring, legal due diligence, corporate governance, and post-closing implementation. Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and drive execution across cross-functional teams. Excellent judgment, business-oriented counseling skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Skills In house experience at a publicly traded, multinational company, preferably supporting corporate development. Experience supporting public company transactions and governance matters. Familiarity with securities law, disclosure obligations, and corporate governance requirements relevant to strategic transactions. M&A and strategic transaction expertise. Strong drafting skills.
