Driving LEAN initiatives in the plant through all departments (6 Sigma, LEAN, etc…). Lead data accuracy requirements in corporate ERP system (currently EPICOR). Including driving improved / increased modules activity usage (Min / Max, rates/ efficiencies, etc…). Develop and maintain system costing standards. Support customer initiatives on productivity improvements and cost reduction activities, including cost review initiatives. Act as backup for manufacturing cost quotes and proposals. Leads the Continuous Improvement, RFQ and other committees and teams. KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform all duties and meet requirements with or without accommodation. Associate’s degree; or two years combination of related education. Preferably in Industrial Engineering. Other acceptable areas of study include Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision on assigned tasks, projects and activities. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong working knowledge of personal computers and software (Windows, Access, Word, and Excel).
