The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and management in a non-profit setting (non-profit is not required as there will be cross training from current CFO). Project Controller A leading consulting firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced Project Controller to join its leadership team. This strategic role reports directly to the President and is designed for a detail-oriented, proactive leader who will drive financial discipline, oversee critical accounting functions, and support the firm's growth objectives. The Project Controller will manage corporate and project accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role consolidates accounting responsibilities into a strategic function, enabling leadership to focus on business expansion. Responsibilities: Develop and present a monthly dashboard with financial, project, and sales KPIs, including recommendations for improvement. Execute semi-monthly payroll, manage payroll taxes, and handle unemployment tax requirements. Manage 1099 vendors, ensuring contracts and insurance documents are current and issuing year-end 1099s. Support project managers with financial analysis and profitability improvements, including project budget entry and weekly reporting. Administer client and subcontractor contracts. Lead a major accounting system upgrade. Perform bookkeeping for a small real estate entity as needed.
