Job Description We are starting to interview for Summer 2026! The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Infectious Diseases physician to join the Division of Infectious Diseases/Department of Internal Medicine. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Division of Infectious Diseases is actively recruiting an Infectious Diseases specialist with interest and/or expertise in general ID and HIV. This position will provide inpatient infectious diseases consultative services within the Medical Center on Main Campus and OSU East Hospital. The physician will also be expected to maintain an ambulatory longitudinal care clinic. In addition to coverage of general ID services, opportunities exist for coverage of several service lines, including a dedicated solid organ transplant service, Telehealth, and community hospital consultation. The division has established and maintains a robust Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) program, seeing approximately 2,200 patients last year. Participates in the training of Infectious Diseases fellows, housestaff and medical students, as well as advance practice providers and other allied medical professionals. The division has five consult services: 2 general ID services, transplant (solid organ), James, OSU East Hospital and an overflow service. Our two-year ACGME accredited Fellowship Program prepares trainees to be consultants in infectious diseases, with fundamental training for a career in academic infectious diseases. Division faculty also have leadership roles in Medical Center-supported programs such antimicrobial stewardship, clinical epidemiology, and OPAT. The Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit, a National Institutes of Health-designated research site for the treatment of HIV and AIDS, and continuously funded since 1987, anchors a robust research program. The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and service that meets or exceeds clinical standards and patient satisfaction goals. In partnership with the Ambulatory Director of Women s Services, this leader will provide medical direction, support the coordination of services and resources, and help drive collaboration across women s health programs and sites. This role will also be accountable for supporting productivity, financial, operational, and quality goals within the division. The Medical Director will work closely with the Vice President of Medical Practice and key stakeholders across the organization to advance the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the Women and Children s Service Line, while fostering alignment with other service lines, domains, and operational partners. Responsibilities Responsible for creating an environment for professional development including ongoing coaching, mentoring, and engagement. Ensure high-level performance, achievement of goals and quality results, through people that report to them. Evaluates performance while setting up development plans throughout the year. Job Description The Neonatology Division at Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City is seeking a board-certified Neonatologist to provide clinical care in community Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units and our regional referral Level IV NICU. In addition to clinical excellence, preferred candidates should have an interest in and evidence of scholarly pursuits, with a special focus on clinical research. Our preferred candidate would have experience in leading clinical research studies, as well as some success in extramural funding. The Neonatology Division consists of 36 neonatologists with a wide spectrum of interests, providing opportunity for candidates to find collaboration and support for an individualized professional career pathway. New faculty will have opportunity to work in a range of clinical settings, including responsibility for delivery attendance for high-risk newborns, managing preterm and transitional issues, as well as attending in the Level IV NICU, with responsibility for infants with birth anomalies and other complex clinical conditions.
