Reports to: Director of ICU Department How You'll Contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs. Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: What we're looking for Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license) Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required) PALS, ACLS and Handle with Care Preferred One year of RN Hospital experience (required) About Our Health System: Maria Parham is a 98-bed hospital located in Henderson, NC.
