Finish Carpenter-Stair Builder
Job Description Job Description We are seeking a talented Finish Carpenter with experience in stair building and finish trim installation. This is a full time position with health benefits, 401K, and vacation pay. Our Company works with, designers, architects, and builders on luxury residential projects. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and able to lead and communicate effectively on a job site. Key Responsibilities Build stairs : Measure, layout, and construct complex staircases, treads, risers, and curved railings. Install trim : Cut and fit crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, and door casings. Hang doors : Set high-end interior and exterior doors, including pocket doors and custom hardware. Read blueprints : Interpret architectural drawings to calculate exact material needs. Verify accuracy : Ensure all finished work is perfectly level, square, and plumb. Maintain safety : Operate shop machinery and hand tools safely while keeping a clean site. Skills & Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 4–5 years in high-end finish carpentry. Stair expertise : knowledge of stair geometry, rise and run calculations, Tool proficiency : Master level skills with miter saws, routers, table saws, and hand tools. Detail oriented : A sharp eye for wood grain matching and flawless finishes. Must be legally authorized to work in the US Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy wood materials up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods. Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance on ladders or scaffolding.
