About this role: As a General Surgeon, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.In this role, you will provide acute care surgical services at Platte Valley Hospital on an as-needed basis. Typical procedures include appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and other general surgery cases. Weekend call coverage runs from Friday morning through Monday morning, with a minimum commitment of one weekend per month. During coverage, youll round on 410 patients, perform an average of 34 surgeries, and participate in trauma handoff and patient management. There is also an option to hold a PRN clinic on Friday mornings for follow-up visits. Youll join a collaborative team of three experienced surgeons and one advanced practice provider in a supportive environment that values teamwork and patient-centered care. Were seeking a surgeon who is comfortable working independently, preferably with trauma experience.
