Job Description Job Description Summary On a daily basis the Foreman will provide frontline, on-site management and coordination for all phases of commercial electrical construction projects, including overseeing craft workers and subcontractors, coordinating material and equipment, verifying specifications are strictly followed and ensuring work is proceeding on schedule and on budget. As we are consistently growing, we have ongoing needs for experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman. We are IEC members and offer training through the IEC. Responsibilities Management and supervision of craft workers and subcontractors performing commercial electrical scopes of work. Primary onsite point of contact for general contractor representatives. Coordinate timing and performance of electrical scope of work with other trades. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Lead by example with a “Safety First” mentality. Conduct safety meetings and safety logs maintaining a safe working environment. Emphasize the importance of safe work practices and hold crew accountable to company and client safety standards. Oversee required inspections with local jurisdictions. Coordinate logistics and storage of material and fixture components. Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution. Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions. Compile and submit all reporting requirements such as daily work reports and sign in sheets. Walk the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning. Ensure that the job site and job trailer are always kept in a clean and organized manner. Provide information and documentation as requested by the project team. Make suggestions and recommendations as to the firing, advancement and/or promotion of crew members. Perform additional assignments per supervisor. Requirements Journeyman/Journeywoman or Masters License; OSHA 30 Three plus years of experience performing commercial electrical work Prior Foreman/Supervisor experience required. Ability to communicate effectively. Attention to detail keeping focus on what is important and required for continued success of the project. Accepts accountability for crew and delivers results that meet or exceed expectations. Working knowledge and understanding of National Electric Code and OSHA standards. Writes subcontracts and purchase orders for field generated purchases and contracts. Reviews and approves related subcontractor and vendor invoices and change requests. Promotes goodwill with clients, subcontractors, engineers etc., to facilitate construction activities and future repeat business. Supervises the project activities of the on-site project engineer, field superintendents and other field resources. Participates in bidding, pre-construction services, budgeting and Continuous Improvement Programs.
