Lead DFM review on new product designs, identifying draft requirements, parting lines, undercuts, shut-offs, wall transitions, and tooling risks. Design and/or review injection molds for medical connector components, over-molded strain reliefs, and cable assemblies. Support tooling concepts including gating, venting, cooling, steel conditions, surface finishes, slides, lifters, and other mold actions. Partner with product engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable, robust, and cost-effective. Interface with external domestic and offshore mold shops during tool design, build, debug, and qualification. Assist sustaining engineering teams with tooling-related issues, yield improvements, and design updates.
