Protestant Community Pastoral Associate

Location: Seabrook Village by Erickson Senior Living We are seeking a dedicated Protestant Pastoral Associate to join our award-winning retirement community. This individual will provide spiritual care by meeting the worship and pastoral needs of our Protestant residents. In collaboration with the Protestant Council and the Pastoral Ministries Manager , the Pastoral Associate will foster spiritual growth, lead worship services, and support community-wide outreach and fellowship initiatives that enrich the spiritual life of our Protestant community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Ministers to the Protestant Community by providing those services required by clergy; celebration of the sacraments, teaching, and preaching. 2. Serves as a minister or pastor to any Protestant resident seeking such services and is proactive in demonstrating this availability 3. Meets, as part of the Pastoral Ministries effort, with residents in life crisis moments. 4. Develops and coordinates Protestant ministry programs for the Protestant Community and interested residents with the approval of the Protestant Council and the Pastoral Ministries Manager. 5. Participates in meetings of the Protestant Council to assist and advise. 6. Endeavors to ensure the Protestant Community is self-supporting, and provides leadership that is financially responsible. 7. Assesses with the Pastoral Ministries Manager on an ongoing basis, the quality of life environment in the community. 8. Preaches weekly on Sunday morning along with other worship services across the community. 9. Provides administrative support to the Protestant Community including, but not limited to: preparing the weekly bulletin, writing a monthly Newsletter, scheduling room reservations, and overseeing finances.
